These beings are usually one-of-a-kind, and even more often they are gigantic, taking great cunning and strength, or sometimes great numbers, to overcome.

Armored Arachnid Great Gohma
Description: Giant insectoid monstrosities. They all share having the same large single eye, but come in a variety of designs, from scorpion-like to arachnid, to centipede-like. They usually come in black, but can have armor on them of different colors.
History: The queen of Gohma, these giant monsters are more insidious than their offspring, and have been the cause of many disasters that occur throughout Hylia. They are the most common of Great Monsters to find.
Attack patterns: Gohma attack in a variety of ways dependant on their form. What is constant is that they are relentless and sinister in their assault, even summoning regular Gohma to keep an opponent distracted while they struck. A Gohma's body is usually armored or otherwise invulnerable to attack; their sole weakness is their eye.
Region: In woods, jungles and underground. Some are said to be found in volcanic areas.

Bio-Electric Anemone Barinade
Description: As its name applies, it is a large anemone with electrical powers, found in the deepest pits of lakes or the sea. Bari share a symbiotic relationship with it and many can be seen floating around one as well as attached to it.
History: Not much is known about Barinade. Because they live so deep in water they are not considered threats to anyone but those exploring the deep, such as Zoras. However, because they consume dead warriors, their bellies often wield valuable items.
Attack patterns: Extremely dangerous to attempt to face, not only because of the army of Bari that surround one, but because of the electric pulses it can emit from its body that can fry a large fish in a second. Your best bet is to attack from afar. Proceed with caution.

Subterranean Lava Dragon Volvagia
Description: A long serpentine dragon red in color. It has two powerful arms closer to its head and neck, and a black armored head with two curling black horns and a main of fire. Its eyes glow light torquoise.
History: The bane of all Gorons, Volvagia is famous for actually feasting on them(the only true natural predator of Gorons). It takes refuge in the hottest regions of volcanic areas after it has finished feeding on a Goron. Because of where it rests, few are able to even chase it down to slay it, and no Goron in their right mind would attempt to either.
Attack patterns: Volvagia has, of course, fire-breath, as well as being extremely hot to the touch. His body is heavily armored and it requires incredible force to try and smash the jewel atop its head, the source of its life.
Regions: Volcanic areas, occasionally near civilizations of Gorons wherever they roam.

Giant Aquatic Ameoba Morpha
Description: An eyeball the size of a slightly larger basketball, covered in a huge serving of 'unholy water', a liquid thicker than regular water and bluer.
History: Morpha is the Great Master of Drought. Wherever she goes, Morpha sucks up water from lakers and rivers, even right out of the plants she passes through to take into her 'unholy water'. All those who have tried to defeat her have failed, unable to get pass its amorphous armor to reach her true body. And so she continues to plague the lands of Hylia.
Attack patterns: Morpha attacks with tentacles rock-solid from her watery exoskeleton, attempting to bludgeon, crush and constrict her enemies to death. She always tries to keep her body as far away from possible attack as she can. Arrows slow and get struck in her water, as do clumsly sword slashes and hammer strikes, so other means of attacking her innard must be found.

Phantom Shadow Beast Bongo Bongo
Description: Bongo Bongo is the size of a house. He has the top half of a muscular human. His arms are cut off just past the elbows, his enormous hands floating freely as if still connected to his arms. He doesn't seem to have a bottom past its torso, which ends in a tail-like mass of shadows. Its head is most bizarre, simply a plume of tentacles and flaps with a sole, enormous red eye inbetween. The color of his body is hues of dark blue and black.
History: Because of its head's similarities to monsters from the Twilight Realm, many believe this dark beast is from the Twilight Realm. It is rumored he was once a Twili, cursed because of his lust for power. He only appears at night, out of nowhere, and attacks with no provocation, leaving nothing behind in his wake. He can be heard coming by listening to an eerie, thunderous rhythmic beat that gets louder and louder. It is said that if his body can be materialized it can wield countless benifits to item-making.
Attack patterns: Without a special means of seeing a Bongo Bongo, he will only appear as a giant, shapeless cloud of black sand which is impossible to damage. Bongo Bongo attacks by slamming his arms into the ground with enough force to flatten anything in his path and cause great quakes and shockwaves. Once you are able to see it, you can attack his red eye to damage him. Only then can his body materialize to be attacked normally. Twili are able to see Bongo Bongo without means of magic or an item.

As hunters of man they often wield valuables within their bellies.
Attack patterns: Titan Gyorg will attempt to swallow its prey with a single passing. Its strategy is simplistic but it is so large and fast in the water that it does little to inhibit it. There is no easy way to defeat a Titan Gyorg. Use whatever means necesary.

Cutthroats' Ultimate Weapon Helmaroc King
Description: A tropical Kargaroc that has grown to incredible size, it is likened to an actual Roc(A giant elephant-eating bird of Arabic myth) in size. Its colors are elaborate as it has long feather tails similar to those of a phoenix trailing behind it and massive wings with white and red tips. Its body is a dark blueish hue, and its face is covered in an elaborate, seemingly indestructible "helme" that guards its face.
History: The captain of the Cutthroats was able to tame this enormous beast, and it has been the secret weapon to the pirates' activities ever since. If the pirates so feel like selling "insurance" to a boat or settlement, it is the Helmaroc King they are insuring safety from. If the pirates are in over their heads in a battle, the Helmaroc King turns the tide to their favor. It was this powerful bird combined with the cunning of the captain of the infamous pirates that make them the most powerful pirates in the Great Sea.
Attack patterns: Helmaroc King swoops in from high like a bullet to clench its talons into its prey, or attack with its diamond-hard beak. Its wings can create powerful gusts of wind. Region: Roost is in the Forbidden Fortress, yet it rules over all of the Great Sea.

Using light-based attacks one can solidify him and slice through him like paper, ripping him up into several smaller masked Poes which must be destroyed. Once the lantern shatters and the soul is dispersed, all that is left is Jalhalla's mask, which wields interesting effects when worn.

Monstrous Sandworm Molgera
Description: A layered sandworm as wide as a Twinmold, but only half as long. Its mouth consists of a huge set of boneless jaws with a blueish tongue inside. Its offspring are human-sized versions of itself.
History: Molgera is considered the Twinmold of the Tetra Isles, and not excluded to just deserts as Molgera will crash into an island from the skies, sapping it of its nutrients and leaving it a barren wasteland. It's enormous mouth can swallow a wagon with two horses whole. Because of its size and age, though, it is very very rarely seen.
Attack patterns: Molgera's jaws will rise out of the sand, causing a quicksand trap much like an antlions to try and drag victims into its waiting maw. However, in this lies its weakness; the blue tongue that dangles in the air when Molgera's mouth is open is used to taste for prey through the winds. It is also directly connected to its nervous system.
Region: Tetra Isles

Description: About 15 feet high and twice as long across, the Helmasaurus Rex(or H-Rex for short) is a monstrously large Helmasour, now with a less stubby and more grand appearance, standing on large elephant like legs, it is similar to a Styracosaur in appearance, save that its headcrest is much larger and wraps over most of the front half of the H-Rex, fitting neatly in place for maximum possible mobility. Its tail is spiked and clubbed like a mace.
History: For such a large creature, H-Rex actually needs to feed very little, which can explain why it makes its home in the canyons of Hylia, where water is plentiful but vegitation is scarce. It is said to hide incredible treasures in its lair.
Attack patterns: Like normal Helmasaurs, Helmasaurus Rex will not attack unless it is threatened, or its territory or posessions are also in jeopardy. It will charge blindly forward into the opponent to try and trample them into the ground into a bloody pulp. The only means of effective damage lie in attacking its backside, but its tail makes this very very dangerous.

Amphibious Dragon Aquamentus
Description: A towering green dragon, poised on long legs and ressembling more of a Brachiosaur(but without such a long neck) than a traditional dragon, though it still has wings(which seem more ornamental than functional). It has a short neck and long fangs, and a unicorn-like horn atop its head.
History: An ancient dragon, there is nothing specific about this dragon except that no one knows where its lair is. As such, even if you slay the dragon it may not reap any benefits if it is miles or whole regions away from its lair. Aquamentus can be found in both Hyrule and Termina as well as the Tetra Isles depending on the time of year, so his lair(most definitely filled with riches) could be literally anywhere.
Attack patterns: Aquamentus has the uncanny ability to fire three balls of fire at once in a radial circumferance in front of him. Aside from that and his brute strength, he is still an average dragon.
