Like the poll says, I am trying to make a new Rito character. He was raised in Hyrule, but I'm not sure where he should end up after he gets his wings at Dragon Roost. Some basic information about him: Although he is still on the youngish side, he is skilled at land and air based combat and adventuring. If anyone recalls the person in Ocarina of Time who said that you could train your eyes to "see the truth" with a great deal of strenuous effort, then you are familiar with one of my Rito's skills because he has done just that with one or both eyes. He is able to sense the coming evil that is threatening the land and this gives him a somewhat grim, yet not lethargic, outlook on life.
I am also considering making a new Twili character and perhaps a villain at some point in the future.

I don't really know where he would fit better, but I think it would be weird for him to start in the twilight realm...maybe you should wait for new members to sign in to have their opinion.
Also, congratulations, new Triforce God. May the Triforce be with you.

*Bows respectfully* And may it also be with you.
Anyway, you must be a mind reader or something, because I started wondering what would happen if he wound up there not too long after I started the poll! (That would make him the first non-Twili character to go there, I believe.) As with all new characters of mine, the problem will be getting someone for him to be with! We need more members! I may have to shut down this poll and ask things like "Where should my Twili character go" or "What race should my Villain be?" since I have not found inspiration for them yet...

Tough. It would be odd, to say the least if he ended up in the Twilight Realm. Logically, I would say Hyrule or the Great Ocean, but that so predictable. I would also like to sat “A villain?...Yessss.” Cralex, if you don’t want to cough when you laugh evilly, try to have it come from you chest, not throat...Er.. That is all.

I agree. And you don't need to laugh evilly so loudly. The louder the laugh, the less evil the villain . The most wicked villains are always those who laugh silently...or even better, those who don't laugh at all but always smile.
Well, I might as well teach you. Here is a truly evil laugh. "he...hehe...hehehe...hehehehehehaha..."

Well, I guess that shows you how evil I am, eh? Don't worry, my villain isn't known to do much self-indulging evil laughter, but he loves what he does so you know he'll be smiling when he's after you...
But seriously, it's hard to create an origional villain in the Zelda series that is believable and isn't your typical egotistical mad-with-power baddy or just plain crazy! He belongs to one of the 11 playable races and is an actual character (although possibly the only one so far with "evil" in his description), not a staff-controlled supervillain, and therefore isn't likely to beat a large force of do-gooders by himself. However, what he lacks in power, he makes up for with skill and cunning. Although it would be nice if he could show up everywhere to cause trouble, this one will have to start out in Hyrule. (Although he might reach other lands eventually.) Plus, I'm starting to run low on character slots (especially if you consider the ones that I have not finished yet) so I may need to rely on others to provide most of the foreign villainy.

My three cents-When making a “bad guy”, he must think he is a “good guy”. Does that make sense? He can’t be doing evil just for the heck of it. Perhaps he’s trying to protect the Triforce from adventurers, or he wishes to exterminate anyone who disobeys the Goddesses (the Goddesses told him of evil doers that must be stop. see? He’s a good guy.). He is just doing his thing. He/she should be Ordonian, only because they have nothing special about them.

Yep, the tough part was making (a believable) someone who could do bad things, but not specifically be in it to be evil. I see what you mean about making him an Ordonian, but I can't change his race now since I pretty much hammered out everything about him last night when inspiration hit me. (Plus, I find the other races too unique to resist. ;D) In fact, pretty much the only thing I have left to do is make sure I have his personality and history the way I want it, and maybe wait a while to build up suspense. Suffice it to say that this guy's not your typical bad guy in background or manner.

I think I've just about got my Rito character nailed down. Now that I've got some inspiration, I just need to put in some details. Where does he start? Let's just say that he'll be taking a little detour before he goes off on his own. ...and he won't be the only one.

Putting him in the twighlight realm would be weird, and, in theorey, couldnt you have him change location as the story continues, you know, end his part in a thread by stating that hes traveling to that area then start him up in a different place? Just wondering.

But, like belak said, I agree with the fact that he could just be doing the right thing in a bad tone. But then, would he be considered a villian like that?
Sorry, but location isn't something that I fret about. It's the character that I want to get down to. But, like iron said, I do agree that putting him in the Twilight realm would be wierd. Once things are wierd, then I start caring. Sorta'...
