Located in this section is a list of every attainable item in the game. They are categorized In 4 classes: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Unique.
Kinds of Items
Common items are tools that can be found in any town, or in any treasure chest. They are easy to find and thus are more likely to be seen by a fellow adventurer. Examples of common items are slingshots, boomerangs, bombs and grappling hooks.
Uncommon items are tools that are slightly harder to find, either because they are very difficult to make or are just harder to maintain. Examples of uncommon items are hookshots, iron boots, Zora armor, and power bracelets.
Rare items are extremely unlikely to be found in any store or civilized location for that matter. They are advanced pieces of equipment, either via magic or technology, and must usually be earned through much effort. Examples of rare items are clawshots, a roc’s feather, Pegasus boots and mirror shields.
Unique items are one-of-a-kind. There is only one of each of these, and they are the hardest items to obtain. Many die trying to get them, and many more leave their resting places in failure. They can range from incredible items of utility to powerful weapons of destruction. Examples of unique items are various kinds of Masks, the Dominion Rod, the Lens of Truth, and the Four Sword.
Getting Items
It is a staff member’s prerogative to leave an item of value such as these at the end of a temple, a challenge or a monster battle. Although temples and challenges will always wield some kind of reward, monsters will not always wield items(though the weapons they carry are up for grabs and selling).
After you have acquired a new item, you must add it to your character’s sheet in the Character Library. The staff will not do this for you, and if you use said item without it being in your sheet, there will be consequences.
Because adventurers carry their items in magic pouches, it is virtually impossible to steal an item directly from the pouch, should your character wish to do so. However, it is possible to steal the item once it has been revealed out in the open. Be mindful of the game’s honor system, however, for stealing items wantonly and without chance of retribution is as offensive as killing another player’s character without giving a chance.
