Keran gestured toward a construction, just down the street they were standing in. A glowing light came from the inside. Apparently, the innkeeper was still up.
"There."
OOC: if you want to save time, we can simply say :"They slept at the inn, and got up the day after, feeling rested and raring to go."

That night, Tila had found it hard to fall asleep at first. Sure, the bed was comfortable, but the setting was completely different from what she was used to, and that was keeping her up. The memories of her recent adventures also didn't help her fall asleep, since she couldn't help wondering with anticipation what would happen next. However, she was eventually able to fall asleep with Ting glowing softly nearby.
She woke up bright and early, feeling energetic and ready to head off despite her slight trouble getting to sleep. Carrying her boots in her hands, she stepped outside the inn to greet the sun and for a breath of fresh air.
I wonder if Keran is up yet or not.

Tila had the answer to her silent question pretty soon. Keran suddenly appeared just beside her.
"Surprise ! I'm already up !"
Tila instinctively felt that somebody this size shouldn't have been able to get this close to her making so little noise. Had it not been for Ting, she might have not noticed him.
"I went out early for a little training." he explained. "I was currently training in stealth...but I think you may have already noticed this."
May as well let my little teammate know what I can do as soon as possible. Keeping secrets from her would be absolutely pointless here.

Although Ting noticed Keran before he reached Tila, she didn't have enough time to inform her Kokiri partner before Keran spoke. Tila quickly whirled around in surprise, but she laughed when she saw who it was.
"Keran! You startled me!"
Although surprised, it was clear that Tila wasn't offended by his stealthy appearance. In fact, she even seemed to enjoy it. After all, a friendly prank or two was not uncommon back in Kokiri Forest.
"Wow, you sure were quiet, and you didn't even need to use magic! That must really come in handy. I should've known that you would be up early training. We're a lot alike, aren't we?"
Tila suddenly got a slightly mischievous twinkle in her eye, having a trick to match Keran's in mind.
"Say partner, I never showed you any of my magic, did I? Since you told me that you train in stealth, would you like a demonstration of something I can do?"

Keran shook his head and replied while making a comically overly sad face:
"I'm afraid this will have to wait. I don't think it is a good idea to do it here and now. Although most villagers have already seen spell-casters, I am not to sure of how they would react if they saw you actually using magic in the middle of the village. I am actually quite curious to see what you can do, but we'd better wait until we're back in the Hyrule fields. Nobody will bother us there."

Yeah, I guess there are a few people up this early...
"Oh well, I guess it will have to wait then. It wouldn't do to go scaring everyone."
Tila made a exaggerated sympathetic face to match Keran's sad one, which slowly dissolved into her characteristic smile at the thought of the two of them standing around and making faces at each other in the middle of the village.
"Sorry, I guess you'll just have to hold your curiosity for a little while."
Slipping on her boots and checking her belongings, Tila spoke again, eager for another day of adventure:
"Are we about ready to go or do we need to do something here first, partner? I've never seen a lake before and I can't wait to see what it's like!"
Plus, I'd love to find out if there are really any monsters creeping around there...

Keran didn't fail to notice the eagerness in the kokiri's voice. He let out a warm chuckle and replied:
"Don't worry, my little friend. We're as ready as one can be. Let's go."
As they left the village, the young sheikah thought that Tila reminded him of himself when he was younger.
That enthusiasm, that strong desire to learn...I now fully understand why kokiris are so often mistaken for children. It's not only their appearance. They also act like ones. For them too, the world is a magic place, full of mysteries, treasures and wonders.
He smiled as a funny thought came to his mind.
For all I know, this one could be twice my age...

Tila, unaware of Keran's thoughts, simply walked behind him, right out of the village.
"Ok, here we go!"
OOC: How do you think our merry band should get to the lake? Shall one of us start another thread in the field or skip straight to the Lake? No offense to him, but I'm starting to wonder if Radik got lost in the forest or something...

And then they were gone.
OOC: Why not creating a thread in the fields to have the duo's first sparring ?
