As the two entered Kakariko Village, Keran felt grateful that they had arrived at last, as he felt somewhat tired. The travel in itself hadn't been so tiring, but having to answer the little kokiri's every single question was beginning to take its toll on the usually taciturn sheikah.
First stop: the bar. Not only it is the best place to gather info around here, but there will be other people to whom she will be asking question. Not to mention that a mug of milk would be quite welcome.
He walked toward the tavern without saying anything.
Well, I can't resent her for being so curious about everything, after all.

Much to Keran's relief, Tila's persistent questions about the world outside the forest, it's people, the Legion Hero, and everything else she could think of had gradually slowed to a halt over the long yet uneventful walk to Kakariko Village. Normally, she would have noticed that Keran was getting tired of answering questions, but her intense curiosity had prevented her from doing so. Now, she walked along behind him through Kakariko, digesting all that she had seen and heard during the day.
The air... it's a lot drier near the mountain then I'm used to.
This realization brought Tila's mind back to the here-and-now as she noticed the village and it's different-looking buildings for the first time. Somewhat tired herself, she followed Keran to the tavern.

Keran entered the bar and looked around.
There are many faces I've never seen here...I wonder how many of them are looking for the Legion Hero.
He went straight to the bartender, who was a the bar cleaning glasses. He smiled. He hadn't seen him for ages.
"Hello, my friend. I believe it's been a long, long time since I last came here."

Meanwhile, Tila and Ting were looking around the tavern. Their appearance raised a few eyebrows since most of the people who noticed them had never seen a fairy or a green-clad kokiri before, at least not in Kakariko. Although Tila looked at several of the people in the bar and was able to recognize a few different races thanks to what she learned from Keran, she didn't watch any of them closely. She let Ting keep an eye on them, just in case.
I've never seen so many different kinds of people in one place before!
Somewhat thirsty, she walked up to the bar where Keran was talking to the bartender, and looked at the selection of drinks. Most were unfamiliar to her, but she recognized one of the selections from her earlier conversations with Keran.
He said that "Lon Lon Milk" was pretty good. Maybe I'll try some...

OOC: Who's going to be the bartender? Are we expecting other people to come in and play the characters in the bar? If you'd like, I could post something over at the Campaign Call and ask for something to happen.

OOC: sorry...I've been busy and I just thought that Pyras would do the bartender, but now that you mention it, posting in the campaign call would have been the right thing to do. Can you do it ?
Oh, and again, sorry for making you wait...but I swear, I really had a lot to do.

OOC: Hey, don't sweat it my friend. Homework kept me out of action for a few days too. I only managed to post yesterday and today, and I may be too busy again tomorrow to stop by again. It happens to everyone and I don't blame you. This is just for fun, y'know. Anyway, I'll be happy to post there while I can.

The bartender looked up and smiled.
"Ah.. I remember you. Who's your friend?"

Keran smiled at the bartender's curiosity and replied:
"Her name is Tila. My current mission is very likely to be quite hard to realize, and I need somebody reliable at my side."
He looked around and asked the bartender:
"I bet that you've heard that a lot lately, but...any information about the Legion Hero ? There has to be a least one drunken adventurer who boasted at some point he knew something the other didn't..."

Tila greeted the bartender while Keran was looking around after introducing her. A smile at his compliment of her was on her face.
"Hi, mister. I see Keran is a friend of yours."
Milk forgotten for now, Tila folded her arms under her head on the bar as she listened with interest while Keran brought up their mission: The legion Hero.

"Legion Hero, eh? Well you're in luck; I finished hearing a story about some strange going-ons down at Lake Hylia."

"You've got my attention, keep going. Oh, and can you get us milk ? Not from the Lon-Lon brand...if Tila doesn't get to taste normal milk first, she won't be able to fully appreciate it."
The prospect of getting useful information had made Keran forget all about his thirst, but not his good manners: it would have been plain rude not to order anything.

Wow, I forgot that I was thirsty.
"Thanks, Keran. That sounds nice. How much do I owe you?"
Keran's politeness wasn't lost on Tila, but she wanted to pay for the milk unless Keran insisted otherwise.

"It's fine, I'll pay for it."
He turned to the bartender.
"So, what's going on at Lake Hylia ?"

As the bartender passed them their drinks, he found another mug to ceremoniously clean.
"Well, 'word is that monsters have been comin' in and out of that lake in the dead of the night... no one knows where they're headed or where they're going back to, and no one knows why."

Tila sat and sipped her milk thoughtfully as the bartender spoke.
This milk stuff is pretty good. Can't wait to see what the Lon Lon kind is like.
When he mentioned monsters, Tila could not prevent a small twinkle of excitement from appearing in her eye. Her glance darted for a split second toward Keran, and she seemed to want to check it out just for the adventure, Legion Hero or no Legion Hero. Still, she calmly asked the bartender about it.
"So, you think that whatever the monsters are doing might have some link to the Legion Hero?"

Keran simply waited for the bartender's answer and took another look around.
Maybe the two of us won't be enough...a team of three might be more appropriate.

Keran nodded.
"Anyway, this is the only lead we have. I think it's worth investigating there. Thank you for the information."
He turned to the young kokiri.
"Tila, I am thinking of hiring extra help, but I need you approval first, since you are my partner. Tactically speaking, our team is lacking in long-range attack. We should try to enlist an archer."
OOC: I remember somebody saying that on this forum, no team had more than two members...wouldn't it be cool to have a three-man team ? What do you think ?

"I was actually hoping to save it as a surprise, but one of the spells that I know allows me to throw a fireball."
Tila smiled.
"Still, an archer on the team would let us hit monsters from far away without me using up all my magic. Plus, I wouldn't mind having someone else come along too."
OOC: Check your messages. Sure, it would be awesome to have a three person party! Got anyone in mind?

Fireball ? Hoho...there's more to my little friend than meet the eye...
He smiled.
"That's great. Now..."
He turned to the bartender.
"...it's time this lady see the difference between normal milk and Lon Lon milk."

"Thank you."
Tila took the mug and brought it to her lips.
"Wow! This IS better! It has a lot more flavor then the regular milk did."
Taking her time, Tila savored the taste of the Lon Lon milk by taking small sips of it. Feeling refreshed, she handed the mug back to the bartender and turned to face Keran.
"Thanks for getting that for me, Keran. You sure won't find that in the forest! So, what's next for us? Think we should investigate Lake Hyla?"

"I do. Even if we don't find any clue about the Legion Hero, I think we should go. As a servant of the Royal Family, it is my duty to investigate about anything suspicious."
Keran turned to the bartender.
"How much do I owe you ?"

"Yeah, you're right." Tila said with a slightly tired yet happy smile. "Plus, it's been a very busy day."
Tila took a moment to go over the day's events in her mind.
"Well partner, you know this place better then I do. Where should we stay the night? Do we camp outside somewhere or is there a place indoors we could stay?"
Tila wasn't very familiar with the concept of inns, so she had expected to sleep outdoors under the sky once she left the forest.

"A place indoors ?"
The young sheikah nodded.
"There is one indeed. The village's inn is quite decent: it's not too expensive, and at least you know there won't be any fleas in your bed."
He got up and told the bartender:
"Well, thanks for the information, my friend. I'll be sure to come back, sooner or later."

Tila and Keran walked out of the bar together. Indeed, it had gotten late and the stars were shining in the clear night sky. Tila gazed at them in wonder, since the stars were always veiled to an extent by the tall trees in her forest home. To her, they resembled hundreds of thousands of tiny fairies flying high in the sky. Tila smiled wistfully at this thought. Although she knew that the stars were not really fairies or the small and bright creatures that flew around without a care in the forest, they made her feel at home. Suddenly remembering Keran, who was politely waiting behind her as she gazed, she turned to him.
"It sure got dark quickly, partner. Where is this inn that you were talking about?"
