Hyrule Fields, late afternoon.
Vina shifted her weight from her left to her right foot as she kneeled down into the tall grasses. In the distance, her target was a tree, which already had serveal arrows in it.
Stretching her body out as she got up, she took out her bow, loaded it and cocked back sending her arrow flying. The arrow hit another arrow already on the tree, nearly spilting it in two.
Vina has been trying to spilt her own arrows all afternoon. She sighed and walked over to the tree, she hugged it lightly.
"I'm sorry for hurting you.." she said softly. She took the arrows of out the tree and tossed the broken ones into her pouch. She sat under the tree and looked out in the grassy plains. She sighed again and slowly, she started to fall asleep.

Cassandris observed the woman from the distance. She was pretty talented with the bow and arrow, she had to admit. And speaking of bows...she really needed one for her journey. She really did hate stealing things like this...but she was necessary, and hunting with a sword was damn near impossible. She began to sneak up on the sleeping Vina, and laid her hand on the pouch where saw her put the arrows. She slowly began to pull it away from her, hoping to the Gods she wouldn't wake up...

Vina felt the tug at her pouch and got up with a jolt. Her head nearly hit the tree.
"What are you doing?!" Vina said taking her pouch back. Her bow wasn't even in the pouch the bow was next to Vina's body. She picked it up. Vina narrowed her eyebrows. "Stealing are we? What is that you need? I'm sure I can just give you something or make you something."

Cassandris simply stared at her. She considered running away, but realized she would be shot before moved even a foot. She decided that, for now, honesty was the best policy.
"I'm sorry...I'm just hungry..."

"Hungry?" Vina stood up and threw her bow and back over her back. "Fine, come with me then." Vina smiled and took her a few feet away into a small house that was near Lake Hylia.
"Momma!" Vina came into the house and looked around. A middle aged woman came out of a kitchen.
"Oh Vina! Oh, who's this?" her mother asked looking at Cassandris.
"Well momma, this is.. Say I didn't get your name?" Vina said looking at her.

"My name...is Cassandris." She still did not believe Vina did not just shoot her when she had the chance for trying to steal.
"And yours?"

"Vina," she answered. Her mother came into the room and put down a pot.
"I hope you like stew! I made it for Vina and myself, but there is plenty for you," she smiled.

"Thank you, Vina." Cassandris said with a smile.
"And...I'm sorry."

"No problem. Just remember to ask me for anything. Is there anything else you need, besides food of course."
Vina leaned her bow in a corner. She sat her quiver bag next to it as she sat down at the table. Her mother was already serving bowls.
"Vina is so good with that bow, just like her father was, " her said trying to start conversation as she sat down to eat.

"I'm not sure...I'll think about it." Cassandris took the liberty of serving her self some stew, and taking a bite.
"Yes...on the subject of fathers, I'm looking for my own."

Vina took a bit and looked at her mother who was smiling.
"Oh, what happened to your father?" she asked.

"He went missing...after a battle." She was looking down at the table as she spoke. The memory was obviously not a pleasant one.

The table was quiet for a moment.
"My dad.. he gave his life to save us," Vina finally said.

"I'm sorry to hear that..." Cassandris replied, looking down at the table. She knew the same feeling of loss, to an extent. But she knew her father was still alive...or at least she hoped.

"Well, let's not talk about such dreadful things! Who wants bread?" Vina's mother gleefully asked.

"Yes please." Cassandris said nodding.

Vina got up and disappeared into the kitchen. She brought back bread in a large basket.
"Thank you Vina," her mother praised her. Vina smiled and served everyone bread.
"You know, Vina is a wonderful archer," her mother said proudly.

"I know. I saw her practicing." Cassandris nodded in acknowledgment.
"I'm not much for Archery...I prefer close quarters combat."

"Oh, that's wonderful! Perhaps you and Vina can go on an adventure! Vina can back you up! Me and my husband used to do that before we settled down to have kids!"
"Mother!" Vina sighed. Her mother knew she wasn't one for adventuring.
"What? Vina, I think it's about time you go out and do something with yourself!"

"Well, that sounds nice I suppose. But I'm not sure if she's willing to help me out on my adventure. She may have a different idea..."

"Well, if it's to help someone find their father.. then I guess so. I know what it's like to be in wonder."
Vina finished up her stew and looked at her mother then to Cassandris. "That is if you'll have an archery behind you.."

"Of course." She finished up her own stew and shrugged.
"Wouldn't be much of adventure if there was only one person."

Vina nodded, "of course."
Vina's mother picked up the plates and left the room. She returned a moment later folding her hands in front of her body.
"It's so nice to see Vina doing something with her life," she said, "well, I won't keep you. You should get going."

"I suppose you're right." She replied with a nod, standing up and brushing her clothes off.

Vina got up and grabbed her bow. She put her quiver over her right shoulder and her bag over her left.
"Well, ready when you are," she said.

Cassandris checked her equipment and sword quickly, making sure everything was in it's place.
"Yeah, I'm ready."

Vina's mother opened the door to let them out. She had tears of joy in her eyes.
"Good luck girls!"
Vina exited with Cassandris.
"Hyrule fields are huge, where should we start?"
