Description
Hulking, orange humanoids with large round faces(almost frog-like), muscular limbs and round large bellies. their backs are covered in a rocky growth-like surface of a jagged structure. Gorons have large round black eyes and often wear nothing more than a loin cloth(out of nothing more than style; Gorons seem to have no genitals). Their hair is white and seems to take the shape and texture of rocks, starting out as a small crop of hair at the top of their head when they are young and growing out into a full head and sometimes beard.
Gorons are all male. They are often seen with the symbol of the Goron tribe tattooed somewhere on their body(sometimes on the arm, sometimes on the pecs).
History
Gorons originated as a subterranean mountain tribe, very shy of the surface world and surface dwellers. As time passed on, however, they learned to enjoy their company and eventually moved to the surface to become useful members of society to the rest of the races. Gorons are known for being mineral traders and forging some of the strongest weapons and metals in existence.
Culture
Gorons are a patriarchal society, which isn't difficult to achieve as all Gorons are male (they reproduce asexually through rock eggs). The chief of their tribe, known simply as their Patriarch (his name always starts with a D, strangely enough), is in charge of leading as well as protecting the Goron tribe, as he is always the strongest and fiercest of his tribe. Despite being a brutish, simple race, the Gorons are normally quite friendly, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life such as song and dance(heavy on percussions), hot spring bathing, eating (rocks is their diet) and sumo and boxing matches. Their economy runs on a few Goron merchants here and there, though primarily it is minerals, which they harvest from the mountains they reside in. Because of their bodies they are the only beings capable of mining in some of these areas, so one can always count on a Goron to find high-quality minerals. Gorons have even developed enormous magnets which they can use to further their industry.
Gorons refer to everyone, themselves, even females as "Brother". They are not a stupid race, merely, simple. They've never truly needed to use their brains that much, and their overall know-how of the world compared to other races is, in fact, distinguishable.
Abilities
Gorons are the strongest of the races, able to lift a ton without sweat. Their bodies are impervious to physical damage from any known weapon non-magical in design. They are even more heat-resistant, able to wade through hot molten lava with only a sting. They are capable of holding their breath for considered-infinite periods of time. Their trademark ability is being able to curl up in fetal position and roll around, able to reach top speeds of 60-70 miles per hour.
However, for all their strengths they also have many weaknesses.
Gorons are the only race unable to use magic on their own, and must rely on magic-alligned comrades or magic items to perform such feats. They are almost incapable of jumping because of their weight, and they sink like a rock in water, unable to swim. Their far-sight vision is poor, as well, and because of their bodies and temperatures, they are very vulnerable to the cold, as they begin to go into a hibernative state if they do not remain active in cold temperatures.
