Just because there may be two Hylians does not mean that they may dress, act or even look similar to each other, and the differences can be great when considering whether a character hails from Hyrule, Termina, or the Tetra Isles. Society, fashion and the like differ significantly enough from each other to change the overall style of the character.
Hyrule
A Hyrulian is your basic template of a cultural style. Hyrule is a land of absolute monarchy that follows a main religion that centers around the three Goddesses that created the world and the Triforce. Differences in religions come from Zora, who have their own kingdom and royal monarchy, as well as their own god and beliefs.
Because of these beliefs, most Hyrulians would do the right thing because it is willed as such by the gods they follow, and this is how morality forms throughout the land. The Gerudo seem to be the only ones who do not religiously follow these beliefs, and are mostly atheist or agnostic at least in practice.
Hyrulian attire is very medieval, with tunics, boots and armor galore, similar to European clothes of England and France.
Hyrule exhibits all four seasons generously, and as such most Hyrulians have a healthy skin complexion. Hyrule is a total monarchy, ruled by the royal family of Hyrule for as long as anyone can remember. The rulers have always been just and good, so political strife is slim to none. That is not the same to say for Hyrulian citizens; it is a common stereotypical belief that Hyrulians are superior to Terminans and Tetrans because they see themselves 'closer to the gods'(The Hyrule royal family is completely Hylian).
Termina
A Terminan is in many ways different to a Hyrulian, so much so that it's as if they come from another world. Termina is a republic, run by a series of citystates with every major mainland race except for the Gerudo and Deku Scrubs, the first of which exist only as pirates and the second which have their own royal monarchy in the jungle. Terminans do not have a republic-wide religion, and most are actually atheist.
As such, what drives a Terminan is not the will of the gods, but the prospect of progress. The sense of community that comes from Terminan society, instead of from a church, comes from less dogmatic values and morals. Terminans are all about scientific and social progress.
Terminans, having civilizations slightly more advanced than Hyrule, wear different clothing as well, clothes that are similar to colonial American times, with shoes and button shirts. Their capital city Clocktown is a mecca of progress and technology, with much of the city run by clockwork machines.
Termina's climate is a bit less extravagant as may be found in Hyrule. Days are often cloudy and except for Woodfall there isn't that much vegetation. Terminans are usually a bit paler than their Hyrulian counterparts because of these factors. Despite seeming colder, Terminans have a more liberal outlook on life and others than Hyrule. Their republic is governed by a council of wise men from all races save Gerudo, and includes a Deku Scrub embassador. However they too fall prey to being a bit egotistical, considering other regions to be primitive compared to their progressive minds.
Tetra Isles
Where a Hyrulian is very right-wing and a Terminan is very left, Tetrans are known for being right in the middle and not giving a hoot. The Tetra Isles are as varied as they come in terms of their outlooks on life, with various philosophies and religions that can even differ from island to island. While most human races such as on Windfall and Outset island have beliefs similar to Termina or Hyrule, the Rito tribe of Dragon Roost island follow a completely different religion revolved around their god, the dragon Valoo. The Korok also follow their own Mother Earth-style beliefs.
Because of the wide variety of beliefs, the variety of people that come about also vary, but one thing that all Tetrans can relate to is survival. Island life is more treacherous than on the mainland, and people do the right thing for the sake of stability and the chance to live a good life in a harsh environment.
Tetrans dress in summer wear, as it never snows in the Tetra Isles. Caribbean pirate-style attire, as well as shorts, sandals, vests and summer dresses are abound. Their technology and wealth is actually poorer than that of both Termina and Hyrule.
The sun blazes heavily across the Tetra Isles. Human races would rarely be found without at least a light tan, as darker tones are more abundant. It is always in a perpetual state of summer, fall or spring, skipping the cold snow of winter entirely. The Tetra Isles are neither a republic nor a monarchy, in fact there is no government or establishment that rules over all the islands. Each one is its own sovereign city-state with its own rulers, rules and law enforcement of some sort. Because of their scattered state, Termina and Hyrule actually do not take them very seriously, seeing most of the Tetra Isles as nothing more than tourist and vacation locations. The Tetrans don't seem to mind or care, and are content with their own lifestyle.
